Mr. Unknown

I don’t know why I suddenly remembered this. Maybe I just wanted to do something to get my mind off studying? Oh well, just continue reading. :)

This happened four years ago, back when I was just a high school freshman…back when I was still diligent, persevering, naïve, kind, and single.

I had just woken up from one of my ‘evening naps’ when I noticed the green light of my Panasonic X66 (green light=new SMS). Still feeling really sleepy, I picked my phone up like a drunkard and viewed the message. To my surprise, it was no ordinary message. It was a message sent by somebody who wanted to profess his love for me. I read it slowly. Unfortunately, because of my bad memory, I can only remember some parts like ‘Joyce hindi ko alam kung pano ko sasabihin sa’yo ‘ to… mahal na mahal kita’ and ‘Nagseselos ako pag nakikita kong magkasama kayo ni *Juju.’ It was from an unknown number. I thought it was just a message from *Mimi, a guy who had sent me a love letter (a letter I threw in our paper recovery bin right in front of him) that same week. Thinking it was really Mimi, I quickly deleted the message and went back to my sleeping position. But before completely dozing off again, I remembered something. Mimi didn’t have a phone. And he had already professed his love before—and got rejected. Why would he do it again? And the text message really didn’t ‘sound’ like him. Weird.

So until now, the identity of that guy remains unknown. It wasn’t Mimi. (I interrogated him)

It doesn’t really matter though. It couldn’t have changed anything. Except if that guy was…

*names have been changed

@effie I never knew about this too. And yes, except if he was?

@joyce Buti buhay ka pa. I mean, knowing something that there's something I don't know [and I need to know, I must know] I would forever be thinking and wondering about that thing. That would be torture for someone like me. And again, EXCEPT IF HE WAS?

@Ella- You think so? :)

@Effie- I never told anyone--until now. I didn't think it was interesting enough to be shared. :))

About the question, I think you already know the answer. ;)

@Alyzza- @_@ Me too. Well, I was naive then! I didn't care. :))

About your question,umm...just read my answer to Effie's. :D

You didn't think it was interesting? Haha. Poor guy and his un-professed love. Wait, his love was professed. Oh, well.

@Effie- Two guys? I can only think of one. :))

@Alyzza- It's confusing. :)) His love was professed, but his identity remains unknown. :))
